Epiphany

It’s Epiphany. January 6, 2021. Then end of Christmastide. And looking into a new year. My epiphany is that I should blog more. How else are people going to find out about my books? Or the story of the Hanover Girls? So, as a new year resolution, I’m going to try, very hard, to blog once a week this year. And here, on the second to last day of the first week of the year, is my first 2021 blog.

In past blogs, I’ve talked about what inspired me to write the books, my process, and the joy of writing every week for over a year. I’m currently working on The Hanover Girls Book 5, I think the end of the series. Something symmetrical about 5 books. Book 4 is getting proofed as we speak. I love the writing process. Yes, I get stuck. But as I put these characters into situations, I wonder what they will say. And they tell me. It’s awesome.

Then there’s the publishing process, something that I’ve also learned over the past year. It’s tricky, and as an independent publisher, there are a lot of rules to learn. But that’s okay. All three of the first three books are available in ebook and print formats. I’m very proud of the way they look. Links below.

I’m also trying to help other authors get published in the independent world, and it’s been a joy to do so. Check out Beverly LaVigne Ledbetter’s How Foreign Was My Service. A memoir of the trials and tribulations of an extended career in the US State Department Foreign Service. Everyone has a story. What’s yours?
